BioPolyBond Adhesive - From Natural, Renewable Raw Materials
Overview
Specialty Biopolymers' BioPolyBond adhesive is intended for paper bonding applications, including mounting and archiving artwork. In addition, it can also be used for other materials or surfaces that are 1) porous to allow the adhesive to set by water evaporation, and 2) hydrophilic (easily wetted by water) - - like wood or cotton.
Features
- water-based, with no VOC's (volatile organic compounds)
- acid-free
- sets by water evaporation
- water cleanup
- dries clear
- reversible bond by wetting with water
- resistant to organic solvents and oils
- produced from renewable resources by a biological process
- biodegradable
- non-hazardous
Application
BioPolyBond is a moderately viscous liquid that is easily dispensed and brushed over the surface to be bonded. It sets gradually to form a strong bond in 1-2 h and to full strength overnight. Its moderate set rate allows repositioning and application to larger surface areas.
